As always, this Independence Day is sure to bring plenty of sunshine, laughter, and excitement. Celebrate at home with friends and family, check out one of the many events around the city, or even stop by and visit us here at Wilson Motors for a brand new Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, or Ram vehicle. Whatever you decide to do this holiday weekend, make sure you have some fun in celebration of our nation’s independence. If you are looking for a great way to enjoy yourself this Fourth of July, here are some local events you might want to check out:
Firecracker 5000
Celebrate our country’s independence by helping to make sure the future of society is in good hands. The Boys & Girls Club of Corvallis is hosting the Firecracker 5,000, a 5K Run and Walk with proceeds going to scholarships for kids to participate in summer programs. By providing relevant structured enrichment programs like their summer programs, the Boys and Girls Club of Corvallis helps to inspire kids to realize their full potential. Registration for the run/walk starts at 8 AM on July 4th, and cost $10 per participant. It is also encouraged that you wear red, white, and blue in celebration of the holiday.
Dollar Day at Otter Beach
If you haven’t already been to Osborn Aquatic Center in Corvallis, come by this July 4th for Dollar Day at Otter Beach. Get your splash on with the kids and stay out of the heat from 1 PM to 4 PM this Monday. The Otter Beach leisure pool features a zero depth “beach” entry area, a lazy-river-style water channel, and a water slide with “splash down” catch pool. What’s more, the water slide is the second largest slide at a public swimming pool in the state! And best of all, admission is only $1!
