Fuel Economy Announced for New 2020 Ram 1500 EcoDiesel

Last October, Ram announced the EPA fuel economy ratings for the new 2020 Ram 1500 with a 3.0-liter V6 EcoDiesel engine. The EcoDiesel 4x2 scored 32 miles per gallon highway and the EcoDiesel 4x4 scored 29 miles per gallon highway. This truck’s gas range is the highest of all pickup trucks, exceeding 1,000 miles per fill-up. The 3.0-liter V6 EcoDiesel engine delivers a 12,560-lbs. towing capacity, 260 horsepower and 480 lb.-ft. of torque. This engine has received updates since last year’s model, with increased horsepower and torque, improved fuel economy and less noise. Compared to previous models, the new EcoDiesel V6 engine’s torque is 14 percent higher. Its horsepower has also increased by eight percent. Some of these fantastic updates have been made thanks to an updated water-cooled turbocharger, redesigned intake ports and a high-pressure and low-pressure exhaust gas recirculation system.
