There are five engines to choose from with the Jeep Wrangler.
- A 3.6-liter V6 produces 285 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque, coupled with a six-speed manual or an eight-speed automatic transmission.
- A turbocharged two-liter four-cylinder engine produces 270 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque, controlled by an automatic transmission only.
- With four-door Wranglers, a turbocharged three-liter diesel V6 pumps out 260 horsepower and 442 pound-feet of torque with an automatic transmission.
- For the Rubicon 392 models, a 6.4-liter V8 engine offers a staggering 470 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque.
- Under the hood, Albany, OR drivers will find a turbocharged two-liter inline four-cylinder engine with two electric motors with the 4xe models. This powertrain pulls in a whopping 375 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque.
The Sahara 4xe trim features 18-inch wheels with full-time four-wheel drive. The Rubicon 4xe rides on 17-inch wheels with all-terrain tires. This trim also features heavy-duty front and rear axles with a shorter 4.10 gear ratio. The 4:1 low-range gearing provides extra traction in off-road driving situations. Electronic locking front and rear differentials offer even more traction control. The electronic disconnecting front stabilizer bar enhances wheel articulation when off-roading. Rock rails protect the underbody of the Rubicon 4xe when off-roading.
